Tempest is a hard lipstick color to describe. Brown? Pink? A faint bluish shimmer? Some would call this "mauve" but we try to avoid that description (because mauve is technically purple - and Tempest is definitely not purple.) It is a sheer color, nude on deeper skin tones and neutral on paler complexions. It's a gorgeous every day color, perfect for the board room and sexy enough for the bedroom, as they say. A perennial favorite. Maybe one day we'll figure out what to call it when someone says "what color is that?"

Simply the Best
This is my #1, go to, everyday lipstick. I loved it so much, I made my mom try it, then she passed it to my aunt to try. I'm fair skinned, and this reads as "natural lip color, but better" on me, but I think it would be a lovely shade on anyone. This is one of the only lip colors I feel confident applying without a mirror and just trusting it to blend. Very moisturizing, like all elixery lipsticks that I've tried.

Tempest
Tempest is my new favorite lipstick from Elixery. It is the perfect every day color for this pale Norwegian! It's neutral with the perfect hint of pretty raspberry shimmer. And the vanilla scent is heavenly.

My new everyday lip color. It goes with everything, it is a subtle, natural color that wears really well. I love a lipstick that I can confidently apply without a mirror, and Tempest is that for me. I love the fragrance, too.

Wonderful sheer color
I love a more natural look and this is a great addition to my makeup bag! I love Elixery's lipstick packaging, how rich it feels on your lips, the taste and the smell! Such a great color that I'd even try it a shade darker if I knew the coloring was similar. I'll order again!

Lighter than it looks...
I love this shade, and it has all the good qualities of the brand (smooth, even coverage, but I wish it were a shade or two more intense. It's maybe a little too natural-look for me...the color on my lips is the color of my lips, just moisturized and with a little more definition. There's probably another Elixery shade that's what I wanted; I'll keep trying!

Feels good, smells great, goes on silky. Color is a bit more shear than I expected (it was described that way), but I love it for everyday wear.

Best Lips Ever
Best. Lips. Ever. It's a little deceiving, as the color pictured is not exactly what shows up on your lips, when worn. Which may sound like a bug, but in fact, it's a feature. It's BETTER than the picture. It goes on smoothly, and looks completely natural. Almost like "Hi, I just look this great all the time, nothing needed" Kid you not, folks. It's a great little everyday go anywhere do anything lipstick. For someone like me, with the make-up and color skills of a newt, it's perfect. It always looks good and let's me look like me. Only far better.
